About Us

We are a team of three CFP® professionals with 50+ years of combined experience successfully supporting our client’s financial affairs. We could not be more proud to extend our client-focused service model to our highly-valued family relationships. We have learned over the years the importance of providing conflict-free advice and the virtues of remaining independent from the clutches of larger banks and financial institutions. From where we stand, we offer our best ideas and the right advice, from which our clients benefit greatly.

Eric & Alex joined forces in early 2021 to form Miller Avenue Advisors and were delighted to have Ben Sampson join the team in early 2024. All three of us worked together in our past careers, and we are now aligned together again with a mission to offer one of the most trusted wealth management solutions in our industry.

Eric Strong, CFP®

Co-Founder and Senior Wealth Advisor

Over the last 25 years, I’ve been blessed with the wonderful opportunity to serve as an advisor to others. It’s inspiring to hear people’s stories and experiences, which is what I love most about my profession.

When I was a kid, my family relied on our neighbor and advisor Jim for trusted counsel on matters such as tax, investment planning, and college funding. By following his straightforward advice, my parents were able to put both my sister and I through college and are now enjoying their financial independence in retirement. It was clear to me early on that I wanted to have the same positive impact on others that Jim had on my family.

Today, I’m fulfilling this goal at Miller Avenue Advisors. My wife Suzanne is a nurse with the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital, and we have 3 children and reside in Mill Valley, CA. I currently serve on the board of Mill Valley Little League as the Farm League Commissioner.

Alex Boeri, CFP®

Co-Founder and Senior Wealth Advisor

As a CFP® professional, my goal is to empower my clients with personalized financial advice and help them navigate economic challenges, financial decision making, and planning for the future. Helping people achieve their goals with security and confidence is most important to me. As a former college athlete and son of a teacher, I have a passion for mentoring, coaching, and educating. These are the principals that guide my work; honesty, integrity, and reliable advice.

I am deeply satisfied as an advisor knowing that we offer our clients true fiduciary and unbiased financial advice. I have firsthand experience in the difficulties of navigating the difference between advisors and salesmen. A family member was approached and misguided by an insurance salesman holding themselves out as an advisor and selling a product that caused unfortunate financial damage over time. I take pride in Miller Avenue Advisors being a firm where we truly put our client's best interests first.

I currently reside in Tiburon with my wife, Jill, and our dog Bear. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, golfing, coaching youth baseball, and exploring all the Bay Area has to offer.

Ben Sampson, CFP®

Senior Wealth Advisor

I originally pursued a career in personal financial planning to blend my passions for numbers and relationships. Many years later, I am even more excited by my daily work than I could have predicted, and I treasure my relationships with families who trust me to guide them through their most impactful decisions.

I feel fortunate to have found the independent, fiduciary side of financial planning from the onset. I take pride in putting the best interest of the families I partner with ahead of any ulterior motives, and thoroughly enjoy delving into complex plans that span equity compensation, estate structure, second homes, tax planning, and more.

I live with my wife (Emily), daughter (Adelaide), and dog (Kya) in Sausalito. I enjoy hiking and biking around Marin, working on my golf swing, and rooting on Vanderbilt baseball.
